South Australia nearing the end of the biggest community conversation ever seen in Australia on Climate Change.

We need your help to to directly influence government climate plans.

We invite all of South Australia to get involved in the Community Climate Conversations and let the government know what you think can and should be done in South Australia to address climate change.

We're asking you to host at least one conversation with people you know, in your home, workplace or wherever your community gathers – sporting clubs, playgroups, schools, places of worship or cafes - before the end of November 2023.

The ideas and insights from your conversations will go directly to the South Australian Government to inform their plans, policies and actions.

How can you be involved?

1. Join an online conversation and have your say

2. Host a Community Climate Conversation between now and the end of November 2023.

Hosting is something anyone can do – it’s simply having a conversation, supported by a Host Kit and a Conversation Guide, and capturing what came from it.

3. Organise conversations for your workplace or group

4. Volunteer and help us organise as many as possible

Community panel now complete!

Understanding the process:

June 2023 saw the successful completion of the South Australian community climate panel and submission of their comprehensive report to the government (download it below). A diverse group of randomly selected South Australians gathered to deliberate on the key aspects of emissions reduction in SA. Their report outlines bold strategies for South Australia's transition to a low carbon future. It will be an important input to decision-making on the state’s zero emissions strategy and serves as a roadmap for the conversations about what will work in their communities, and what measures they will endorse as for the transformation needed to protect our planet and ensure a prosperous future for all.

To see the participants talk about their experience on the panel press play on the video below:
